He graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Real Estate and Finance, laying the foundation for his expertise in market strategy, investment, and operations.
Rick's passion for real estate has driven his career, from successfully managing large-scale retail operations to leading high-impact development projects. As one of the earliest team members at Micro Center, he played a pivotal role in growing the company into a national brand, eventually serving as President and CEO. His leadership focused on customer service, strategic growth, and operational efficiency, key principles that continue to define his approach to business.

Kareem Amr
Vice President of Development
With over a decade of experience in commercial real estate development, Kareem has played a key role in contributing to the built environment across Central Ohio. Over the course of his career, he has led the development of more than $250 million in retail and multi-family projects, bringing a strategic vision and a deep understanding of market dynamics to every endeavor.
Having worked with some of the most reputable development firms and commercial real estate companies in the area, Kareem has cultivated extensive expertise in site selection, entitlements, and project execution. He specializes in collaborating with city officials to align developments with municipal objectives, and works closely with engineers, architects, land use attorneys, and other vital consultants to create impactful, well-designed spaces that serve both communities and investors.
Kareem earned his degree from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, where he specialized in Real Estate & Urban Analysis with a minor in Entrepreneurship. His passion for innovative design, sustainability, and world cultures has helped him become a leader in placemaking, ensuring that the projects at Mershad Development enhances both the local landscape and the community experience.

With a degree in Economics from the University of Miami and extensive experience in real estate sales, investment, and project management, Ricky combines market insight with operational efficiency to deliver high-impact developments.
